About Hotel-Restaurant Hippocampus

In Restaurant Hippocampus the emphasis is on fine dining. The stately white villa was built around 1900 and inhabited for decades by the managers of the local 'Vieille Montagne' factory. Hippocampus is a class hotel, unique in the area of Mol, Lommel, Balen.

On cold winter days, the fire in the fireplace welcomes you. On beautiful summer days, guests dine on the terrace where they enjoy the beautiful pond where lilies show their best side.

Your host and chef Francis Scheyvaerts uses a selection of the freshest ingredients for his dishes, preferably from the region. One of his specialties is steamed walleye with tomato marmalade and a basil pesto, baked Kempen quail with black currant sauce, and candied red fruit with lavender honey and vanilla ice cream.
