Where to begin...Let me kick off with a great view on the 18th floor, it was my first time. We arrived at 19.00 and our reservation via restaurantweek.nl did not show on the reservationlist (could blame the internet). We were comfortably offered to pick any available seat and someone would come to take our order ... so we located ourselfs at the window with a nice view over the highway A2 ... After 40 minutes of waiting I still did not see any attention from the service staff, so I got up and took matters in my own hand ... The menu was a 4-coarse dinner; soup, starter, main and dessert. Unfortunately, the carrot soup was finished ... So, an alternative in the form of minestrone soup was offered, but unluckely, this turned out to be bad, so some more apologies with reassurance that it's taken care off ... Finally at 20.20 a soup came at the table, however it had to be sent right back .... OMG, it was so salty to an extent that it became uneatable ... At 21.20-ish the second course arrived at the table, which was really quite tasteful .... A second round of drinks was ordered at 21.50, cause I very much enjoyed the fresh OJ, when we noticed that the kitchen started to clean up... So, service staff checked with us whether we already had our main...Which we clearly hadn't... Our ticket seemed to have gotten lost somehow ... The kitchen whipped out the ordered rib-eye steaks at 22.15 and we could taste the rush and lack of time on the plate ... Both rib-eyes came medium well done, unfortunately half our initial order and without the ordered side dish too... So while the kitchen and service is busy now with closing the bills for the evening, talking became louder and there was just a bit rush in time to enjoy or even order a coffee to comply with our dessert...I could not describe this whole experience in a nutshell..but one can understand that is was not one for great cheers...Service did offer their apologies and we were not charged for the drinks, but that could not soften anymore what delightful expectation we were looking forward to...

Het was top! Mijn eerste tip is om zo vroeg mogelijk te gaan. Waarom? Zoals bijna ieder restaurant heeft ook dit restaurant personeelsproblemen. Maar dit gaat pas een issue worden, als het restaurant tot de nok toe vol zit. Wij hebben hier bijna geen last van gehad, dus hebben de ervaring gehad zoals het restaurant m voor ogen heeft. Wij waren er om 18 uur. Vanaf de 18de verdieping heb je een heel gaaf wijds uitzicht. Het restaurant loopt rondom, waardoor je altijd een gevoel van ruimte hebt. Je ziet niet alle andere gasten. De aankleding bevalt ons ook prima. De bediening is zeer vriendelijk en attent. Wij hadden onze zoon van 6 mee, die ook de nodige aandacht kreeg. Het eten was heerlijk. Een simpele kaart met rechttoe rechtaan gerechten, maar heel goed bereidt. Denk aan carpaccio, peer met geitenkaas, wortelsoep, eekhoorntjesbrood soep (van de Kromme Dissel), roodbaarsfilet, ribeye, crème brullee van Baileys en een bloempotje als toetje (out of the box en lekker). Ze hebben geen kindermenu, naar mijn zoon ging goed op de frites en gegrilde groente, die je normaal als bijgerecht kan bestellen. Ze hebben trouwens heerlijke bubbels en een mooie selectie aan wijnen Dus alles was prima. Hopelijk kunnen ze snel de personele problemen oplossen, zodat het restaurant ook soepel draait bij een volle bezetting. Aan het personeel wat er nu rondloopt en kookt ligt dat zeker niet, want die doen enorm goed hun werk. Dat is de taak van het management..
