What 2 people say about Kampai
Geen Aziatische keuken, maar een concept. Vermoedelijk van opwarmeten van de groothandel. Harde muziek en een toilet waarin ik opgesloten zat door een slecht slot. Ik was er klaar mee.
Delicious food. Wide variety of cocktails. We will go there again!

About Kampai
Cuisine: Asian
Kampai is the Japanese word for cheers before drinking. It can literally be translated in ‘dry glass’ and has the same meaning as “bottoms up”. Kampai is taken very seriously in Japan and it is considered rude to start drinking before everyone has a drink for cheers.
This tradition is something we love to set forward in our cocktail bar. We would love to cheers with you!
The solidarity that exudes the ritual of ‘Kampai!’ forms the basis of the concept. The principle of being together, eating together and drinking together is part of both the food- and cocktail menu.
Located on the Geldersekade 19, a stone’s throw away from Central station, three friends have created a small, cozy, Asian inspired cocktail bar / dim sum restaurant: Kampai! Here you can find a selection of amazing cocktails, fresh sushi, home made dim sum and classic cocktails.
