(simple, however good)
-Panfried lemon sole with cauliflower,
sweet/sour chantherelen and a jus of kokos and lemon.
(least dish of the evening. Fish and cauliflower a bit overcooked).
-5 spices braised beef and beef from the green egg.
(specially the 5 spices beef, tender, moist and one of the best dishes of 2010)
-coquille st jaques, with 65c quail egg.
Beautiful , and rich dish.
-dessert: chocolate, pinda, banana and foamed milk
very good tasting and nice too see.
-friandises and coffee
coffee ok, friandises are below the rest of the meal. Fudge cubes, bonbons that don't exceed the prefab quality. Tuiles not adding something.
I probably missed something
all in all, a very good place for good, and sometimes very good food.
If they can improve the quality and diversity of the bread, 1 type is not enough!. And do something about the friandises this is going to be an absolute winner..
We where here with the dining with the stars week, which meant we paid 50 Euro pp for the food. Experiences with other restaurants is that you notice that in the food. Here the food/menu was not affected by the pricing, which is a very big compliment. I think we have a address for Boxing day...
Gistermiddag met zijn tweeën genoten van een fantastische viergangenlunch! Maitre-cuisinier Dick Middelweerd schoot weer eens uit zijn slof. Vooral de entrecote met stukje sucade vonden wij voortreffelijk! Jammer dat met de vrijdaglunch maar een paar tafels bezet waren. Wij hebben genoten, hartelijk dank!

Lekker gegeten maar wel kleine porties.
Uitermate gevariëerd menu met zeer veel klein hapjes en een grote diversiteit aan smaaksensaties, zodat aan het eind van het diner bij mij de vraag restte: wat heb ik vandaag eigenlijk gegeten? De kwaliteit van de gebruikte ingrediënten is absoluut uitstekend, de hoeveelheid aan variatie schept enige verwarring.
Al met al heerlijk gedineerd.
